“The Season of HIS Glory has come”

“But truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD” Numbers 14:21. “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea” Habakkuk 2:14

2014 is a year God’s glory will be manifested upon the earth.  The knowledge of His glory will begin to cover our nation, the continent and the world as surely as the waters cover the sea.  In Judeo-Christian religious tradition, the meaning of the word glory is the manifestation of God’s presence.  This gives us an indication of what we must expect in this season.

As I meditated on what God was saying He spoke to me from the book of Esther and gave me certain understanding from this concerning what He wants to do in this year and what we must also do.  We must understand that God’s glory, and His presence, are manifested in and through the lives of those who have believed in Christ.  Jesus Himself revealed the glory of God when He was on earth And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:14”. “Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person” Heb 1:3.  Now He has given us the privilege of carrying that glory and displaying it on the earth.  “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16

During 2013 we continually called out to the four corners of the nation for the sons of God to awake and to arise.  Now we must shine as never before because as Isaiah prophesied “the glory of the Lord is risen upon you…and His glory will be seen on you” Isaiah 61:1-2. His glory must be seen in the church and in our lives in this year.

When Moses asked God to show him His glory (Exodus 33:18) this was God’s response:   Now

The LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the

name of the LORD. And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD,

the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness

and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and

sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the

children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation." Exodus

34:5-7. Moses response was to bow his head toward the earth and worship.

Sin caused us to fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) but Christ has restored us to that

place where we can again carry the glory of God To them God willed to make known what

are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you,

the hope of glory.” Col 1:27.  In 2014 we must forsake every sinful practice and overcome our

sinful nature by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16).  We must no longer

conform to the pattern of the world (Romans 12:2) but be conformed to the image of Christ

as we were predestined to be (Romans 8:29).  As God is merciful, gracious, longsuffering,

abounding in goodness and truth, forgiving iniquity, transgression and sin, so we too must be. As 1

John 4:17b says “As He is, so are we in this world”.

In the book of Esther we see how King Ahasuerus “showed the riches of his glorious

kingdom and the splendour of his excellent majesty” l:4 to the people.  In 2014 it is time

for God to display the riches of His glorious kingdom and the splendour of His excellent majesty to

every tribe, people and nation.

There was one special treasure that the king had left until last and that was to display the beauty

of his wife. The sad thing was that his wife did not respond to his call and instead showed that her

beauty was only on the outside but inside she was full of pride, selfishness, rebellion and

stubbornness, living for her own glory and not that of the king.  This lack of obedience to the

king’s command caused her to lose her position as queen.

In 2014 the Lord Jesus wants to display the beauty of His bride, the church, to the people of the

world and those who like Queen Vashti are unwilling to obey His commands will be cut off from

His presence and lose their opportunity to show forth His glory.

There was, however, a new bride who would become queen to King Ahasuerus, whose character

was totally the opposite.  She was both beautiful on the outside and the inside. Her character had

been diligently shaped by the teachings of her uncle, Mordecai.  She was an orphan yet showed no

sign of inferiority. Her humility and submissive nature enabled her to gain the favour of Hegai who

was in charge of the young women being prepared to go before the king.  Her willingness to listen

and obey instructions gave her an advantage over others and she won the favour of the king and

became queen.

In 2014, the Lord is looking for His bride to be as Esther was – humble, teachable, and

totally obedient to His instructions.  Esther became a saviour for her nation saving them from a

judgment already written against them.  We have grieved God greatly in this nation, passing laws

that are totally contrary to His word, rejecting righteousness and justice, and giving ourselves over

to idolatry, sexual immorality, wickedness and witchcraft.  He needs us to be willing to take His

burden for the nation that He died to redeem and pay the price to see its salvation.  2014 is not a

time to follow our own agenda but to seek after His plan and His purpose which will be for His

glory and will bring us to a place of peace, hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Over the last year especially the Lord has been shaking all nations even as He said in Haggai 2:7.

This was not without purpose.  Apart from removing all that could be shaken (Heb 12:27) it is also

so that “they shall come to the Desire of All Nations”. Jesus has paid the price for the

nations, not only individuals, having redeemed them by His own blood and longs for them to

return to Him.  This is the task He gave His disciples to go and disciple all nations, to reconcile

people to God. In 2014 we must take up our God given ministry of reconciliation 2 Cor 5:18.

The last purpose in that shaking was “and I will fill this temple with glory”.  We are that temple.

Whatever shaking took place in your own life last year, know that it was not the devil but the hand

of the Lord preparing you to be filled with His glory.  There were things He wanted to remove

so that you could receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken and serve God acceptable with

reverence and godly fear (Heb 12:28).

In 2014 the King of Glory is calling for His sons, who He has made to be kings and priests (Rev 1:6,

5:10) to reign on the earth, to present themselves for service in His kingdom, soldiers in His army

whom He can send to do battle for the nations, to preach the gospel of the Kingdom, subdue the

enemy and take dominion for His glory.  For years we have prayed “Your kingdom come, Your will

be done on earth as it is in heaven” yet we have taken little action to bring this to pass.  This year

we will learn not only how to fight in prayer but to work hard to see this prayer answered.

When Jesus was praying for us before going to the cross He said “the glory which You gave

Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one” John 17:24.  In 2014

the true church will emerge and walk in true love and unity, those who have been sifted, sanctified

and separated as in the days of Gideon, those who have come to a place of total surrender to the

will of their Master, Jesus.  No longer will the citizens of the Kingdom of God be divided amongst

themselves and be brought to desolation (Mat 12:25).  Instead we will be transformed into the

image and likeness of Christ, from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Cor 3:18) and being

united in Him, God will command His blessing upon us (Psalm 133).

In the year 2011 we will see an acceleration of the advancement and establishment of God’s kingdom in our continent, our nation and our city. The reason for this is that there is a people arising who are responding to God’s call “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” (Is 6:8), a people who are willing to count the cost and pay the price (Luke 14:26-33), willing to deny themselves, take up their cross daily (Luke 9:23) and follow the teachings and commands of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matt 28:19-20).

Zechariah 4:7; 2Corinthians12:9; Romans 5:20. Focus on the grace and not on tests. The number five is a number that speaks of grace in that there are five graces of Christ viz. Apostle, Prophet, Teacher, Pastor and Evangelist. The formula is the number 10 is 5+5, Five + Five is Grace + Grace= Grace, Grace

14 So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. 16 But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. 17 So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.

The year 2009

by MM Matshobane

The word of the Lord concerning 2009 is that 2009 is a year of completion. The Lord will birth things in and through us this year that will complete us or bring completion to us.

A Prophetic message for 2008

The number 8 speaks of New Beginnings and /or Restoration. God created all things and rested on the 7th day. It is therefore obvious that things started happening from the eighth day onwards which make the eighth day a day of new beginnings.
